Freddy Valderrama is the Disney Destinations Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Dallas/Fort Worth, North Texas and Oklahoma markets.  Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Freddy attended Baylor University and graduated with degrees in Marketing and International Business.  While attending Baylor, Freddy had an opportunity to participate in internships with IBM, a U.S. Congressman on Capitol Hill and in the Disney College Program.

After graduating from Baylor, he began his sales career with New York Life before joining the Software Sales Team at IBM in 2003.  While at IBM, Freddy was twice recognized with IBM’s 100% Club Award for meeting and exceeding yearly sales goals.  He also received the IBM On Demand Community Award of Distinction for his volunteer efforts. In 2008, Freddy joined the Walt Disney Company as a BDM for Disney Destinations.  Freddy has represented Disney Destinations in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma markets for the last 13 1/2 years. In 2011, Freddy was recognized with the Platinum Circle Award and 100% Club Award within Disney Destinations for significantly exceeding sales targets. He has received these awards again in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In addition, he achieved the 100% Club Award in 2018 and 2019.

  

Freddy is heavily involved in the community as a volunteer for several charitable organizations. Since 2005, he has supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas as a volunteer, bilingual Wish Granter and committee member for the annual Wish Night Black Tie Gala which raises money to grant wishes to children with critical illness. Since his involvement beginning in 2006 as the Auction Marketing Co-Chair, the annual gala has raised over $17 million dollars. In 2015, Freddy was asked to be the Co-Ball Chair for the 2015 Wish Night Gala which raised $1.6 million, a new record for Wish Night. 

In 2008, Freddy began volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star where for 9 years he served as the Auction Marketing Co-Chair for their annual BIG Black Tie Ball Gala. Since his involvement, the annual gala raised over $6 million dollars to help “match” Big Brothers & Big Sisters as mentors to at-risk youth. In 2013 Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star awarded Freddy with the Regional Individual Partners of the Year Award for his volunteer efforts. 

In 2015, Freddy was elected to the board of DIFFA Dallas (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS), serving 2 years supporting the organization which raises funds to aid in the fight against HIV/AIDS by providing preventative education programs, treatment and direct care services for people living with/impacted by the disease.

Freddy currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his partner, Michael.
