A native Texan educated at Texas Tech (B.B.A.), Emory University (Master of Divinity), and SMU (Doctor of Ministry), Larry has served as a pastor for United Methodist congregations across the North Texas area, from Wichita Falls to Greenville and Duncanville to Far North Dallas. He also served administratively as District Superintendent, Director of the Center for Missional Outreach, and Clergy Assistant to the Bishop.
In addition to work as an educational missionary in Zimbabwe and an administrative missionary in Nigeria, Larry has always sought to be of service beyond the church by being an organizing member of the AIDS Circle of Hope in Wichita Falls, a member of the Hunt County Shared Ministries in Greenville, and an organizing actor with the Duncanville Community Theater, among other involvements. He currently serves on the Methodist Dallas Medical Center Advisory Board and the Methodist Health System Quality Review Committee.
Together with his wife Mickey, Larry enjoys retirement with time at their cabin in New Mexico, traveling abroad, enjoying local theater, music, and art activities, and spending time with family and friends.
