Pages

MAY 19
Northaven United Methodist Church

In the Spring, we will present a concert titled “Pages” that will celebrate not only literature, but address the backlash experienced in this country on books that challenge notions, ideas, and history that some might find objectionable.

Our four ensembles will deliver a diverse and powerful program to educate, inspire, and celebrate the books that have made us who we are and warn us of the dangers of banning books we may not like.

I, Too, Sing America

JUNE 27 & 28
Meyerson Symphony Center

This patriotic performance offers a unique perspective, emphasizing that — regardless of our diverse backgrounds, gender, sexual expression, race, or origin — we all contribute to the "tapestry of Americans." In these tumultuous times, we will unite to create something both powerful and star-spangled!

Accompanied by a brass chorus and featuring the Meyerson Lay Family Organ, the concert includes beloved patriotic tunes and introduces new, thought-provoking pieces that explore what it truly means to be an American. Don't miss this thrilling and hopeful evening of music!

Bach To The ‘90s

SEPTEMBER 26 & 27
Moody Performance Hall

We return in the Fall for a fabulously fun celebration of the music of the ‘90s! And not just the 1990s — prepare yourself for beautiful pieces from 1790, 1890, and more. This theatrical concert experience will fill you with nostalgia and maybe, just maybe, allow you to sing along with a few well-known tunes.

So, whether you're vibing with Johann Sebastian Bach or channeling your inner ‘90s kid with Alanis Morissette, this concert will have you saying, "As if!" and "Bravo!" because we've got something for everyone. Join us for a blast from the past and a symphony for the ages!

Considering Matthew Shepard

NOVEMBER 2024

Our combined TCC ensembles, in conjunction with Cathedral of Hope and The Women’s Chorus of Dallas, will present Craig Hella Johnson’s moving oratorio, “Considering Matthew Shepard.” This stunningly-powerful work explores the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard outside of Laramie, Wyoming. Combining theater, narration, and soulful score, this performance will astonish you with its beauty and power.

It is heartbreaking in its honesty and hopeful in its prophecy. You won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime concert event.

Wonder

DECEMBER 2024

Ah, the holidays through the eyes of children — there's truly nothing like it. As adults, we often find ourselves yearning to recapture that innocent magic. That's why, for our annual traditional holiday concert series, we're taking a journey back to the WONDER of childhood Christmases.

Remember the joy of waking up to a blanket of snow and the excitement of a day off school? Or curling up by the fire to watch the Peanuts gang and their little tree? Our concert will transport you back to those cherished memories and so much more.
